Narrative Exposure Therapy
Narrative Exposure Therapy is a short-term and evidence-based therapy. The goal of this therapy is to restore human psychosocial functioning. This therapy has been more effective in refugees than traditional treatment methods and has shown that it will reduce post-traumatic stress disorder of war victims.
MindSpring
The MindSpring programme is a group-based program for refugees, supporting their adaptation to a new and unfamiliar country. Participation in the programme increases group members' awareness, provides new knowledge and skills to better understand the new situation, cope with daily challenges, prevent problems, and establish a social network.
The MindSpring method is unique because group meetings are led by a trained coach with similar experiences, background, and language as the participants, who understands their issues and thereby creates trust and security.
We offer the MindSpring programme to three target groups: parents, youth, and children.
Caring To Include
“Caring to Include" is a three year programme started in November 2024, offering post-trauma mental health support. In addition to the Estonian Refugee Council, the programme involves the Dutch Council for Refugees and humanitarian organisations from Hungary, Estonia, Malta, Cyprus, Greece, and Croatia.
